Last week we decided to run away with the circus! And it took us to ArtBeam gallery for an Ole Henriksen branding event produced by TH Productions. Our top-level cirque performers were dazzling crowds throughout the night with their balancing, flips, and head-spinning tricks. Photos by Patrick MacLeod below.
Sooo many bubbles! This past week was a busy one with multiple gigs on the same night, but the event for Tinsel & Twine at the Rent the Runway Studio was definitely one to remember! Our lovely Mermaid & Merman were there to serve drinks and take photos with guests under an exciting bubble installation. We also had the opportunity to debut our new Bubble Dancer, which must be seen to be believed. Photos courtesy of Tory Williams.
On February 24th, we were pleased to perform in the NYPL's Library After Hours event, "Love in Venice", a part of the La Serenissima: Music and Arts from the Venetian Republic festival program for Carnegie Hall. Our beautiful Baroque-inspired costumed dancers delighted guests with a performance and introductory dance lesson to the 18th century pavane. Thank you to all that took part in this special evening!
Earlier this month the One World Observatory, in a night we will never forget, UrbanDaddy x Emirates Airlines held a star studded night of cultural entertainment and delicious fare. Starting off in New York City, we departed at approximately 8 PM for a record trip around the globe to Milan, Singapore, and Dubai, before return back to the top of the One World Trade Center just before midnight. SHIEN Artists had the pleasure of providing all of the in flight entertainment!
Harlequin Stiltwalkers poured champagne all the way through the trip to Milan.
In Singapore, the traditional Chinese Lion Dancers danced through the people and surprised them with a traditional lettuce feeding ritual for good luck.
Belly Dancers entranced the crowds in Dubai with their LED Wings & Sabre Balancing. Even a Snake Charmer made an appearance, charming guests and beasts alike.
Wow! What. A. Weekend. We kicked off the two day celebration, at Capitale in downtown on Friday night with a bang to swing and revel in some prohibition era style for the 2nd Annual Great Gatsby Party! Amongst the flappers and dandies, Shien Artists provided all of the entertainment bringing to life the decadence of the roaring 20's— swing dancers, beautiful burlesque, ladies hanging from the ceiling, contortionists, jugglers, more feather fans than anyone could count, and even a mermaid!
Here's the extended cut! But don't forget to check out our social media as well @ShienArtists - Plenty of gorgeous photos & videos from this and other past events to be found!

"In December 2015, the Great Gatsby Party® transformed the gilded halls of New York City’s Capitale for the very first time. Nearly 2,000 guests turned up for the sold-out event, outfitted in the fashion of the Roaring Twenties--flapper dresses, silk gloves, tuxedos, top hats--to revel the night away under swinging aerialists and the glitter of disco balls. This year, by popular demand, the Great Gatsby Party returns for a two-night affair of the booze, fanfare, and decadence that so defined Fitzgerald’s celebrated novel.
Brought to you by the founders of La Nuit en Rosé and Pinknic, 2016’s Great Gatsby Party will take place on the evenings of December 2 and 3 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Capitale will once again play host to the event, bedecked in the elegant grandeur of the era. Similarly inspired by the 1920s, entertainment is scheduled throughout the night, with live music, theatrical acts, dancers, stilt walkers, and more.
The evening is sure to be a celebration of all the senses, with champagne flowing, spirits well-stocked, and an array of sweet treats specially prepared by a local bakery. So this December, put on your black tie finery and hit the town with us. Everyone will be talking about this Great Gatsby Party well after the lights come up." The Great Gatsby Party
The annual Phantasmagorey Halloween extravaganza for Dances of Vice was an evening to die for! Our gorgeous ghouls & haunts brought this grand setting to life under the 45ft ceilings, opulent french balconies, and the cobwebbed chandeliers, representing souls from eras past.
